Terravolt is planning to develop large scale battery energy storage (BESS) projects in Germany.

In order to develop a suitable business model Terravolt needs: A clear understanding of the regulation, grid cost logic and power market structure in Germany, a ranked list of possible and commercially attractive locations (incl. power grid connection) for a BESS project and support regarding ad-hoc question in the grid connection process.

E-Bridge identified local criterions which are indicators for the suitability of a site for the installation of BESS and developed a scoring system to put data representing the criterions into quantitative relation.
The second step is the application of the scoring on gathered data for all of Germany to identify regions with the highest likelihood for being suitable BESS sites.
The last step is the identification and evaluation of a subset of verifiably “most promising areas of interest” in proximity to specific grid connection points.

The client gets a documentation of the identified areas of interests recommended for the pursuit of BESS installation with site description in form of a fact sheet.
Furthermore E-Bridge consults Terravolt for various regulatory and technical questions regarding the grid connection of the battery storage.
