We are increasingly advising clients on key asset management issues—from implementing new asset management systems to understanding the impact of digitalization and AI on processes and decision-making. Our project experience shows: anyone aiming to establish sustainable asset management today needs a holistic approach, sound methodologies, and pragmatism.

The IAM Conference, German Chapter of the Institute of Asset Management, was an opportunity for us to share these perspectives and gain new insights.

Rapid Change – Lasting Value
Discussions around artificial intelligence, digitalization, and data-driven risk management highlighted how strongly these topics will shape our work in the coming years. The event revolved around one central question: How can asset management continue to deliver lasting value in an increasingly dynamic environment?

Professional Exchange at the World Café
The workshop made it clear:

  • Digital data and intelligent technologies have long been the foundation of modern decision-making.
  • The ability to actively shape change and embed innovation meaningfully into processes is a critical success factor. Risks can be understood as drivers of innovation—and thus as opportunities for further development.
  • Resilience and critical infrastructure (KRITIS) are increasingly in focus, underscoring the importance of robust, future-oriented asset management for stable infrastructures.

Advancing Asset Management Together
The diversity of perspectives once again showed how much we can learn from each other. It was an inspiring day that sparked many new ideas and strongly demonstrated the importance of dialogue for advancing our field.

Many thanks to all participants, the organizers, and e-Netz Südhessen AG for their hospitality in Darmstadt.
