In view of the high level of uncertainty regarding future developments in the energy industry, the question is more important than ever: how can we prepare gas distribution networks today for a climate-neutral future? The first workshop on Syna GmbH’s gas network strategy, which we were able to help shape, started with this exciting key question.
Our colleagues Lorenz Valk, Philipp Steffens, and Philipp Heuser had the opportunity to work alongside Syna’s gas network experts, contributing valuable insights to the analysis and strategic development of their infrastructure.
Among the topics discussed in depth were:
- Market developments and regulatory frameworks
- Future use cases for gas distribution networks – e.g., hydrogen or green methane
- Evaluation criteria for prioritizing parts of the network
- Initial guidance for strategic decisions and next project steps
A strong and promising start, with a clear objective: to develop a robust, forward-looking gas network strategy for Syna that balances economic viability, supply security, and climate goals.
A big thank you to the entire Syna team for the open and constructive dialogue!
