The energy transition expertise of network operators plays a crucial role in the successful energy transition in Germany. Only if the energy transition technologies are quickly connected to the grid by the network operator, the power grid is reinforced accordingly, and network management is further developed, can the energy transition succeed. In the current regulatory framework, network operators who proactively build energy transition expertise are not rewarded.

E-Bridge, together with FGH, has now been commissioned by the Federal Network Agency to develop a concept for expanding quality regulation, which also reflects energy transition expertise and service quality in network operators.
