Market Consultation: Your Opportunity to Shape the HydexPLUS© Benchmark Index for Hydrogen Climate Protection Contracts
We aim to further develop and improve the HydexPLUS© benchmark index, which accurately reflects the total cost of green hydrogen and adjusts subsidies dynamically within climate protection contracts, together with your insights. HydexPLUS© models the production costs for green hydrogen, enabling a dynamic adjustment of payments over the 15-year contract duration—always based on current market trends.
Public Consultation for Index Adjustment
To ensure that HydexPLUS© accurately reflects market conditions, we invite you to review and update the input parameters. The focus is on specific investment costs and the operations and maintenance (O&M) costs for electrolysis.
Given rising capital and energy costs, we plan the following adjustments:
- Investment Costs: €1,970 per kWel
- O&M Costs: 3.2% of investment costs
