The development and implementation of gas network strategies is a central part of our service offering at E-Bridge Consulting. As the Hydrogen & Gas Competence Group, we support gas grid operators on their journey towards climate-neutral and future-proof infrastructure. We are particularly proud of our longstanding and trusting partnership with Syna GmbH, which continually inspires us to deliver innovative and sustainable solutions.

From January to June 2025, we worked closely with Syna on a comprehensive strategy project for the transformation of the gas network. Our aim was to define the future direction of the gas grid and to develop concrete courses of action for the coming decades. The project team – comprising Lorenz Valk, Philipp Steffens, Aiman Khan and Dr. Philipp Heuser – contributed significantly to the project’s success with their dedication and expertise.

Our results demonstrate that transforming the gas network is not only technically and economically necessary but also opens up new perspectives for Syna’s role as a hydrogen distribution network operator. The methodological depth of our project is particularly noteworthy: from the analysis of consistent energy scenarios, through the regionalisation of demand forecasts, to the assessment and prioritisation of sub-networks, we have taken all relevant aspects into account. The strategic and financial implications have been presented transparently, and we have provided concrete recommendations for implementation.

The successful completion of this project is a true highlight for us in 2025 and underscores the innovative strength and consulting quality of E-Bridge Consulting. Our results provide Syna with a robust foundation for the next steps towards climate-neutral energy supply.
