ENTSO-E has recently presented a proposal for the EERA methodology (European Resource Adequacy Assessment). Based on this, the need for a high quality forecasting tool for electrical load profiles was expressed, which should support ENTSO-E in future short-, medium- and long-term studies. Currently, ENTSO-E uses the tool TRAPUNTA for this purpose, which is particularly suitable for long-term forecasting, but has potential weaknesses related to the prediction of peak values and short-term forecasts.

Based on the analysis of the project partner, E-Bridge supports ENTSO-E in formalizing the technical functional and non-functional requirements of a further development of the TRAPUNTA tool. For this purpose, workshops and expert interviews with key users are conducted in order to capture all requirements. In addition, E-Bridge creates a so-called click dummy in the form of a mock-up, which is used within the project to optimally capture the requirements from the user’s point of view.

Based on the work of E-Bridge, the tender will be prepared from a technical point of view. The aim is to provide ENTSO-E with an appropriate technical document with which a suitable selection of a software provider can be made.
